HUMIDITY SENSORS

UPS SERIES: ECONOMICAL RESISTIVE RELATIVE HUMIDITY SENSORS

RANGE: 15-95%RH, ACCURACY: ±2% RH
IDEAL FOR HIGH VOLUMES
PROVIDES 2% INTERCHANGEABILITY
CERAMIC SENSOR RECOVERS FROM CONDENSATION
LOW COST CIRCUIT OPTION GIVES LINEAR %RH OUTPUT

UPS Series resistive relative humidity sensors are accurate and repeatable humidity measuring elements. Designers can depend on long term stability and direct interchange ability. When excited with alternating-current (1-6VAC/33Hz-1KHz), the sensors vary their impedance in an inverse logarithmic function with the ambient humidity. Models UPS-500 & 600 are economically priced at
each in 1000-piece quantities. Model UPS-600 utilizes advanced ceramic technology for operation in environments where condensation occurs. Models SC-500 & 600 are surface-mount circuit cards that provide temperature compensated voltage outputs, priced at each in 1000-piece quantities. An evaluation kit is available which consists of five sensors, a signal conditioner, and application notes, providing designers with the data and schematics to incorporate these sensors into OEM products.

HS SERIES PRECISION NARROW SPAN RELATIVE HUMIDITY SENSORS

DECADES OF PROVEN PERFORMANCE
VERY HIGH SENSITIVITY FOR PRECISE %RH CONTROL
CHOICE OF 11 RANGES: 0.3 to 97% RH
±1% RH ACCURACY - NO HYSTERESIS
OFF SHELF DELIVERY

HS Series relative humidity sensors, also known as Dunmore sensors, have been widely used in precision air-conditioning controls and compressed air monitoring systems worldwide. These time-proven sensors were developed by NIST and are noted for their excellent sensitivity, accuracy and repeatability. Priced under each in 1000-piece quantities. Eleven different sensors cover the range of 0.3 to 97%RH. When excited with alternating-current (1-6VAC/33Hz-1KHz). HS Series sensors provide direct interchangeability. An evaluation kit is available, consisting of two sensors, a signal conditioning circuit card, impedance vs %RH curves/tables and equations which enable microprocessor based data reduction. HC SERIES HIGH PERFORMANCE CAPACITIVE RELATIVE HUMIDITY SENSORS

ACCURACY TO ±1.5%RH IMMUNE TO CONDENSATION
RESIST MOST CHEMICAL VAPORS
OPERATION TO +180°C
OPTIONS FOR SIGNAL CONDITIONING

HC Series relative humidity sensors utilize thin-film polymers deposited on a glass or silicon substrate coated with a porous metal electrode layer to provide physical protection. The polymer varies dielectric constant in a linear relationship to %RH. These sensors provide a range of 0-100%RH with excellent accuracy and repeatability. Models HC-100/200/500/1000 are passive elements that utilize external signal conditioning circuitry to convert the capacitance to a frequency or voltage output. Model HC-500 is laser trimmed to 3% tolerances eliminating the need for calibration. Models HC-600/700 sensors have an integrated monolithic CMOS signal conditioning circuit to give a linear voltage output. ABS-300 SERIES ABSOLUTE HUMIDITY SENSORS

IMMUNE TO CHEMICAL & PHYSICAL CONTAMINATION
HIGH TEMPERATURE OPERATION TO +200°C
UNAFFECTED BY CONDENSATION
RANGE: 0-130 g/M3 (0-100% RH)

ABS-300 sensors provide a voltage output directly proportional to absolute humidity measured in g/m3 or grains/ft3. Absolute humidity measurement is advantageous because the water vapor concentration is independent of temperature. Applications include material drying, appliances, engine and fuel cell performance monitoring. These sensors may be used where others fail. ABS-300s operate at temperatures up to 200°C (392°F), are impervious to condensation and have been rigorously tested for use in environments with physical and chemical contaminants. Priced at each in 1000-piece quantities. A specially priced evaluation kit is available, consisting of two sensors, a signal conditioning card that provides a 0-5 or 0-10VDC output and application notes. Contact our engineers to discuss your requirements.
